It is a musical subgenre emerged in the mid-90's, and influenced by styles like grunge, funk, rap, and some heavy metal subgenre.

Linkin Park is a band originally from Agoura Hills, Los Angeles, California. His style has been the nu- metal and rap metal, but on their album Minutes to Midnight the sound becomes softer alternative rock-oriented, their latest album A Thousand Suns recorded a very experimental style. The band has sold over 50 million records and has received two Grammy awards.The group became famous thanks to their debut album Hybrid Theory, which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling debut album of the decade.
